Ramadan Detox Water


Detox recipe # 1 – Apple Cinnamon

Ingredients:

1 apple (green or red)

2 sticks of Cinnamon

1 liter of water

Benefits :

  • Cinnamon is high source of antioxidants and fights infections and viruses.
  • Apple is a good source of fiber and extremely rich  in important antioxidants called flavanoids.

Detox Recipe # 2- Lemon Strawberry

Ingredients:

4 Strawberries (frozen or fresh)

1 lemon

few mint leaves

1 glass  or small jar of water

Benefits :

  • Strawberries are packed with antioxidants and high in vitamin C. They are sodium, cholesterol and fat free.
  • Lemon supports weight loss, good source of vitamin C, it aids digestion and freshens breath.
  • Mint is a palate cleanser and promotes digestion.  It soothes stomachs in cases of indigestion or inflammation.

Detox Recipe # 3 – Lemon Cucumber

Ingredients:

2 Cucumbers

2 lemons

1 small ginger (sliced)

few mint leaves

2 liters of water

Benefits :

  • Cucumber aids in weight loss, keeps the person hydrated, flushes out toxins and contains multiple B vitamins. B vitamins are known to help ease anxiety and stress.
  • Lemon supports weight loss, good source of vitamin C, it aids digestion and freshens breath.
  • Ginger is good for healing stomach upset.It helps stimulates gastric juice production to aid in digestion.
  • Mint is a palate cleanser and promotes digestion.  It soothes stomachs in cases of indigestion or inflammation.
  • This drink is good for losing belly fat.  Drinking this everyday for 3 to 5 days in an empty stomach results to slimmer waistline.
